January Graduation Portraiture

Promotional photography for York Student Television

I was recently commissioned by York Student Television to take some promotional photographs for their website. Being a former member, technical director and studio manager of the entirely student run television station, I was more than happy to oblige.

Popcorn Comedy at The Tabernacle

I was recently asked by the organisers of Popcorn Comedy to photograph one of their nights. At least once a month comedians showcase their own short comedy films, songs and animations alongside sketches and stand-up performances.

The evening in The Tabernacle, Notting Hill, featured the talent and creative work of Holly Walsh, Robert Popper, Josie Long, Cassetteboy and Peter Serafinowicz to name a few. The sold out crowd included Little Britain's David Walliams, Spaced director Edgar Wright and Father Ted writer Graham Linehan.

It was a tremendous privilege to photograph the event and great fun watching what was on offer, I look forward to attending other Popcorn Comedy nights as a member of the audience in the future.

Presentation Skills Training with Armitage Bucks Communications

I was recently commissioned by Armitage Bucks Communications to take some photos during a presentation skills training session with staff at Sheffield Hallam University for the companies website.

Jen & Simon's wedding in Scotland

Earlier in August I had the pleasure of photographing Jen and Simon's wedding at Drumtochty Castle in Scotland. Both Jen and Simon live in York and heard about my services as a wedding photographer from a mutual friend.

Emily and Jan's wedding in Cambridgeshire

Back in June I joined London & Cambridge wedding photographer Tom Catchesides to photograph Emily and Jan's wedding in Cambridgeshire.

I've attended a couple of Tom's seminars relating to wedding and portrait photography and was honored when he invited me to second shoot with him. It was an invaluable insight into how he achieves the coverage and quality of images at a wedding, something I hope to apply to my own wedding and portrait photography.

Jen and Simon's portrait session

I joined Jen, Simon and Barney the dog for a walk along the Ouse. I am delighted to be photographing Jen and Simon's wedding in August and really enjoyed the opportunity to spend some more time with them before their big day.

Prints for sale in Dusk

I'm proud to announce that a selection of my photos are on exhibition in Dusk in York. It's a great place to meet for lunch, a coffee or somewhere to work by day and is responsible for some awesome cocktails by night.

Luke and Claire's portrait session

I spent a little time with students Luke and Claire, between their lectures and the ever changing May weather, taking some photos for Luke to use as a gift to his mum.

I was asked by the University of York Cheerleading society "York Hornets" to take some photos for their website and promotional material during one of their practices on campus.

Location scouting for a short film

I'm very excited about the opportunity to be working as Camera Operator on the period short film "The Tale of Beggars Bridge" which is based on a local legend. I went out with the Director and D.o.P to have a look at one of the locations we'll be shooting at later this month.

Charlie & Alex's Birthday in The Biltmore

I had the pleasure of taking some photos at Charlie and Alex's joint 21st birthday celebration's at The Biltmore, which was the perfect venue for the classy black-tie occasion with live jazz band and DJ.
